Sealed proposals for Prairie Park – Site Construction in Elburn, IL, shall be received at the

Village offices: 301 E. North Street Elburn, Illinois 60119 until 1:00 p.m. local time, December

3, 2024, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Work generally includes concrete paving, concrete sloped entry, curb at playground,

engineered wood fiber, poured-in-place surfacing, playground equipment, bandshell, bench,

picnic table, game table, playground underdrainage, drain cleanout, shade trees, evergreen

shrubs, shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, and lawn restoration.

Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Successful contract bidders are also

encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment,

services, and construction.

This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural

Resources, "Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development” (OSLAD) grant program.

Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the

successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor

and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a

contract.

All contracts for work herein are subject to all Village rules and regulations, and providing

for the payment of Kane County’s prevailing wage rate to all workers involved in these

projects. All bids will remain firm for 60 days after the bid opening. The Village of Elburn

reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities on a bid, and to accept the

lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the Village.
